Why KnowGraphs

A reference work you can explore, not just read.

Most reference sites organize knowledge as separate pages. KnowGraphs adds another layer: every relationship can carry its own explanation, sources, and revision history. Selecting a person or work reveals its surrounding network; selecting a connection reveals the evidence behind it.

KnowGraphs is being designed for many areas of knowledge, including history, science, philosophy, literature, music, film, visual arts, architecture, design, politics, technology, and culture. Within each discipline, topic-focused graphs can trace influence, collaboration, authorship, membership, adaptation, and other documented relationships—revealing both focused subjects and the connections that cross disciplinary boundaries.
